One Day!
For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. (Psalm 84:10 KJV)
It’s Day 9!
We have almost made it to the halfway point! I pray that journalling is part of your daily exercise. Remember, do not think you will remember what you prayed or talked with God about six months from now. Write it down! Write!
The first part of verse 10 states: A day – one day – Lord in your courts is better than a thousand days away from your presence. Meditate on this. Think on this. A day, twenty-four hours in the presence of the God’s Glory! Twenty-Four hours full of liberty (where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty (2 Cor. 3:17 KVV). Can you imagine? Is your soul able to comprehend being in God’s presence. What it would be like to be near God’s Holiness? Or what about near God’s love for an ENTIRE day? If so and if not, ask God for His closeness today. Ask God to pull, to draw you nearer.
Pray this prayer with me: Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for another day. I ask that you search me and when you find those things in me that are not like you, cleanse me and then fill me with your presence. Today, I ask to be in your courts. Draw me nearer to you. Allow me to be pulled by you. I thank you for hearing and answering my prayer. In Jesus name, Amen. day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. (Psalm 84:10 KJV)

Yes, Pastor I agree!!! I Love to hear YOU say this and the other scriptures YOU say on first Sundays’ for our ushers and our stewardess thank you. Pastor, my fasting is going well but I have some church concerns I would like to address but is unsure how and when the appropriate time to address my concerns without feeling inferior. My scripture for today is: And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever. ISAIAH 32:17 I Love You Pastor Burns and all you do to try to make us one TEAM for the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Michelle
Since we are in a time of corporate fasting, I would encourage that your “church concerns” be a part of your list of prayer concerns. In this manner we can be ensured that the power of God and God’s will are made manifest.
Thanks Pastor, My Church concerns are in my daily prayers. Pastor, my spirit is telling me I need to address them. One is personal and other is a concern that arosed from last conference. So, do I wait for next conference or do I need to meet with you first. I want you to be present, I want feel comfortable with you not being present. Michelle
My position remains the same since we are in a corporate time of fasting. You mentioned something as personal or a “church conference” issue, then please address this via e-mail especially since this Blog is public internet knowledge. But do understand that my position remains the same.
